Step into the forest with us for a gentle gathering: part mindful movement, part creative expression - all in support of peace.
Sunday, Nov 2 | 1:30pm | Strathgartney Park
You're invited to a guided mindful forest walk and personal portrait experience in support of Gaza relief efforts. Whimsical, fairytale-inspired dress-up optional (but encouraged!).
We’ll walk together through the trails in this forest, pausing to breathe, to notice, to connect with the natural world around us. Along the way, you'll be guided through mindfulness exercises, simple breathing techniques, and gentle standing yoga stretches to help you stay present and fully engaged with your surroundings.
Before or after the walk (you choose when registering), each participant will have the opportunity for a personal portrait session amongst the trees with our professional photographer.
More details below.
ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT GO DIRECTLY TO SUPPORTING HUMANITARIAN AID FOR GAZA.

Come as you are. Walk with purpose. Leave with peace, presence, and a portrait that captures your light.
More Than Just a Walk
Put simply, this is a mindful forest walk and whimsical portrait experience.
More than that, this is a chance to move our bodies, breathe in the fresh forest air, and explore what it means to be present - all in support of Gaza relief efforts.
It's an opportunity to connect with ourselves, nature, and perhaps other people who are looking for the same thing. This is space for reflection and compassion; for finding gentle stillness in nature; for carrying hope for peace in Gaza and beyond.
Portraits for Peace
Each participant will have the opportunity to have an outdoor portrait session with Lindee Gallant - a highly experienced, professional photographer. Let this portrait be a reminder of presence, humanity, hope, and the power of being seen.
All proceeds from this event go directly to supporting humanitarian aid in Gaza.
Can’t join us but still want to contribute? We love that! You can add a donation above, and we’ll include it with the rest.
A Touch of Whimsical
To add a touch of magic and to celebrate the resilience of the human spirit, we invite you to dress in something whimsical or fairytale-inspired: flowing fabrics, soft tones, a hint of sparkle or earthiness. Something that makes you feel magical or ethereal. Not a costume, but an expression of imagination and a reflection of renewal.
Let your outfit reflect what peace feels like to you. What lightness and hope feels like to you.
This part is totally optional but wholeheartedly encouraged!
